libfgetdata2 software package provides library to read/write dirfile data - Fortran 77 bindings, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libfgetdata2
libfgetdata2 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libfgetdata2 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libfgetdata2 *
You will get with libfgetdata2 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
